We’ve swapped out the 1990s drivetrain for a Shimano Tiagra setup with 1x10 modern performance and Avid V levers and brakes. You know, so you can actually ride the thing and not just have it sit in your tiny studio apartment looking pretty. Schwalbe 54-559 (26x2.10 for us 'mericans) Billy Bonkers gravel tires are street and trail ready too. Its a smooth, fast, and way more reliable than you’d expect from something this old-school. Call it a time-travel hack.

Contact points include a Brooks C-17 saddle, e-Thirteen Plus pedals, Pink waffle grips to hang tight and stay comfy. 

And there is still room for fenders, bags, and racks for a solid bikepacking rig. I threw on a spare pink bottle cage to tie it all together.
