Var #74 wheel truing stand vintage wheel building tool motorcycle

The legendary mod.74 wheel truing stand from Var. Made in France, outside of Chartres. This is well loved and used. most of its life was in a basement collecting dust.

French designed, all steel. This is a workhorse stand suitable for a modern pro shop or hobbyist wheel builder. It can be broken down and dismantled flat so it has utility for race mechanics and mobile shops.   Bolt it to a piece of wood, or directly to the bench. It can be held by a vise too.

Designed and produced from the 1950s through the early 1980s. It works on quick release axles and bolt on hubs. Its design also allows for thru axle compatibility. Super versatile for modern bikes with wider OLD, e-bikes and vintage motorcycle wheel builds. 

There are 3 hub centering cones. So there is a spare just in case you lose one. All other hardware is included and complete: the brass thumb screws, T-bolt fixtures for the hub, knobs, and aluminum centering measure. 

We did a deep clean of the parts. There is some surface rust and patina to keep it real.
